Policy Update | General Workplace Grievance & Complaint Policy (POL-U1011)

Body
Dear 91精选 Community,

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain clear institutional governance, we are writing to announce an update to our workplace concerns policy.

The updated is now published and available on the central University Policies & Governance Directory.

This policy outlines the formal process for addressing general workplace concerns and interpersonal or operational grievances.  To ensure issues are addressed at the most direct and effective level, the policy establishes a structured, step-by-step approach to resolving grievances.

Before initiating a formal written complaint, employees are expected to engage in two preliminary resolution steps whenever possible:

Step 1: Direct Informal Resolution - attempt to resolve the issue directly with the individuals involved.

Step 2: Supervisor and Administrative Review - bring the concern to your immediate supervisor, Department Chair, or Dean for support in resolving it.

Step 3:  Grievance & Complaint Intake Form - after Steps 1 and 2 have been completed and the workplace concern has not been resolved, employees may initiate the formal resolution process.

We strongly encourage all faculty and staff to review the full policy to understand its scope, procedures, and available supportive measures.  HR will send a checklist through Paycom to acknowledge that you have received, read, and understand the policy.

If you have questions about how this policy applies or need guidance on navigating a workplace concern, please contact hraccount@pacificu.edu.

Sincerely,
