Biography
Katie Bell, EdD, RDH joined 91¾«Ñ¡ as a full-time faculty member in August 2010 in the School of Dental Health Science. She served as associate dean for Interprofessional Education from 2018 to 2023, and was appointed as the founding director of the Doctor of Medical Science and Doctor of Healthcare Science Programs in 2021. In 2022, Dr. Bell was appointed as the director of the School of Healthcare Administration and Leadership. She joined the School of PA Studies in 2026 as the Senior Associate Director of Accreditation and Curricular Assessment. Dr. Bell has served in a variety of leadership roles at the university, including Faculty Senate Chair, Chair of the Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP) Committee, Chair of the Interprofessional Education Steering Committee (IPESC), Chair of the University Personnel Committee, and CHP faculty chair.
Dr. Bell has taught many continuing education courses, both at 91¾«Ñ¡, and at local and national conferences. She has published widely on a variety of topics. Her research interests include trends and issues in PA education, interprofessional education, issues in 91¾«Ñ¡ education, and issues impacting the dental hygiene scope of practice. Dr. Bell has been an active member in the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the American Dental Education Association, the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions, and the PA Education Association.
