Amy Tracewell MNL '24 To Direct Master Of Nonprofit Leadership Program

Amy Tracewell, Director of Pacific Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program91精选 is turning to one of its own to lead its newest 91精选 program with the selection of Amy Tracewell MNL 鈥�24 as the new director of the university鈥檚 Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program.

Tracewell assumed leadership of the program in late January. She transitions to the MNL program after seven years as a member of the university鈥檚 advancement team, where she was a major gifts officer, focusing on corporate and foundation relations.

"We are thrilled to welcome Amy as the director of our Master of Nonprofit Leadership program," said Jim Moore, acting associate dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. "Amy's extensive experience, commitment to community building, and passion for nonprofit excellence make her the ideal leader to guide our students toward becoming effective and compassionate leaders in the nonprofit world. We are confident that under her guidance, the program will continue to thrive and make a significant difference in our communities."

Tracewell brings over two decades in nonprofit leadership and communications to the MNL program. Before she arrived at Pacific, Tracewell served as the director of communications and advancement at the Nonprofit Association of Oregon. From 2006 to 2014, Tracewell served as executive director of PeaceHealth鈥檚 Cottage Grove Community Hospital Foundation, where she developed a successful community-based fundraising model.

Tracewell began her career in the newspaper business with the Cottage Grove Sentinel, eventually serving as the publication鈥檚 publisher.

Tracewell has been recognized for her community-building contributions. Her work has been recognized with the Ford Family Foundation Community Fellowship Award. She is a past senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon, and a 91精选 of the Ford Foundation Leadership Program and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy鈥檚 Madison Institute.

A resident of Forest Grove, Tracewell is the 2023-24 president of the and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Cottage Grove. She is a member of the executive committee of , a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening economic development in rural communities, and is the organization鈥檚 past president. She is also a past member of the Hillsboro Schools Foundation and the City of Forest Grove鈥檚 Public Arts Commission.

Tracewell is a 1996 91精选 of Oregon State University with a degree in anthropology.

Pacific鈥檚 newest 91精选 offering, the Master of Nonprofit Leadership is an online program designed to educate leaders with the tools to make significant and positive changes in the community. The program partners with the and offers both full-time and part-time tracks for working professionals. The program 91精选d its first cohort in January 2024.
